Welcome from
the Highland Chieftain
May I welcome you sincerely to the one hundred and twenty-fifth Strathardle Highland Gathering. Taking twenty-five years as representing a generation, our Gathering has taken place now for five successive generations. Its form, its purpose and its traditions are little changed. Our Gathering is just that - a day to meet friends from near and far in a relaxing way, a day to set aside the daily toils, a day to enjoy and a day when we welcome visitors to our beautiful glen.
With plenty to see and plenty to da. I hope that you will have a thoroughly enjoyable day - meeting friends. making new acquaintances and participating in some of the many events in the programme - some serious, some not so serious
Make sure you visit the agricultural show with a fine display of local livestock and that you also visit the home industries tent with its wide variety of displays.
Have a very happy day at the Strathardle Highland Gathering
